Bloggy Giveaway Carnival

Ok, so I’m getting in on this a little late, but better late than never, I guess. There is a Bloggy Carnival going on at Bloggy Giveaways.com.

Since this is my first giveaway ever, I’m going to stick with something near and dear to my heart…makeup! I will choose two winners. Each winner will have the option of choosing a Mary Kay lipstick or Mary Kay lip gloss. Once the winners have been announced, they can visit my Mary Kay website to see available colors in each and let me know which one (lipstick or lip gloss) and color they would like. I am not asking you to buy anything, and I will also cover the cost of shipping within the US and to Canada. Because I am posting this late in the week, I will wait to draw the winners until Sunday evening at 9:30PM EDT.

Continuing with the makeup theme, please leave me a comment about any makeup challenges you feel you have. I will compile a list and attempt to answer as many questions as possible in a post next week.

I would like to say also that while I will try to answer any questions that I can, there are always people out there who know more, and I do not profess to know everything there is to know on this subject (or any other for that matter :->). I am constantly learning and trying to improve myself in the calling I feel God has given me, but I am glad to help in any way that I can.

Having said that, please leave a comment. Good luck, and thanks for visiting!

    Thanks!

My makeup question involves eyelashes. Mine are so small/short that even with mascara on you can hardly see them. Any advise? Also, how do I make my eyes stand out behind my glasses? But not look like a tramp, of course. :)

Hey Dawn, I’m mid-40s and my problem is skin flaking (yuck, right??). I use moisturizer at least once daily, but that doesn’t seem to help :/. Oooo, and I also exfoliate…

Thanks for hosting something all us gals can use!

BTW, LOVE the scripture you used for your header :).

    I actually have 2 questions….

    1) Does Mary Kay have any products that are safe for my daughter with allergies…. she cannot use anything with tree nut or peanut oils.

    2) Do they still make the green eyeshadow? I loved that and now I’m out!

Are there any colors of shadow or liner that would show up well and look nice? Any tips would be very much appreciated. I would love a new lipgloss, so I’d love to win! Thank you for the chance.

It just so happens that lip gloss is my makeup drama at the moment. I’ve bought at least 4 tubes trying to achieve that fresh, un-made-up look. It shouldn’t be so hard to look effortless! I guess the problem is that I, including my lips, am amazingly pale. So colors look different on me than they do on most people. I’ve even been to the clinique counter and I thought I found a winner, but then out of the store it didn’t look right. Anyway – another chance at good lip gloss would be nice. Thanks for the chance to win.

I wear little makeup. There is so much out there, I just don’t know what to buy! I have a few frown forehead wrinkles above my temples and my skin looks dull. I LOVE Mary Kay Lipstick and Lip Glosses! They are my favorite!

My makeup question…what is the best way to apply mineral powder foundation without wasting so much!? (it always seems to be on the counter, on my clothes, everywhere!)

My biggest problem with eye makeup is that it looks smudgey after a few hours. Thanks for the giveaway!

My biggest makeup problem is that I’m too lazy to wash my face before I go to bed at night. So, I just don’t wear makeup beyond lip gloss. How perfect!

Great giveaway! And I guess I have a makeup question… I’ve been having little pimples pop up just at my lip line and I was wondering if they could be caused by the long-wear lip color I’ve been using?

My biggest challenge right now is finding a concealer that won’t clog my pores and cause more pimples! My skin’s mad at the season change right now.

Thanks for the giveaway! I’m a lip gloss junkie so I’d love to win this! Thank you!

I’d love some new lip gloss:) I think my biggest makeup challenge is remembering/finding the time to put any on. Not that I do a great job when it is on, but something is better than nothing. I have a lot of trouble matching my skin to bottles and was hoping to get to go to a Mary Kay party last week for help with this, but it was cancelled. Thanks for doing this giveaway!

My biggest challenge is finding makeup in the summer months. I tend to sweat a lot (personally I think more than most people) and everything I put on runs off in no time at all.

Thanks for the chance to win!

My question is: What should I use to cover redness on my face that won’t look caked on? Thanks!
